Are uniforms required? – Yes

Is Northland a safe environment for students? – Due to its location in the rural north woods of Wisconsin, and its secure 435 acre campus, Northland Scholars Academy provides a uniquely safe environment.

Northland Scholars Academy is set amidst the rolling hills and dense forests surrounding the Great Lakes. The stunning grounds of the Northland campus boast private lakes, sprawling lawns, wooded trails, bright stars, fresh air, and breathtaking sunsets. The Northland Campus also offers modern facilities and recently refurbished and updated accommodations.

Is there an application deadline? Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. It is recommended, but not required, that international students begin the admissions process at least 60 days prior to the semester for which they are applying.

Is there an application fee? – No application fee.

Do you offer an ESL program/support? – Yes, we offer classroom and tutor instruction and assistance.

Do you require a certain score on English Language assessments for admission? – No, but if available, please provide your internet Based Toefl (iBT), iTEP SLATE, IELTS, and or Slep score.

For  students interested in taking Bay College courses at NSA, the following are the minimum English language assessment scores: iBT 61, iTEP Slate 4.3, IELTS 5.5, Slep 55.

From which countries or regions would you like additional international students? – We enjoy and want students from all over the world. We do not have a geographic or political preference.

Do you offer partial scholarships to international students? – Yes, all students are eligible. Partial scholarship requests are considered during the application process.

Do your students stay with host families or in residential halls/dorms? – Students stay on campus in residence halls.

How many weekly meals are included? We provide a minimum of 21 meals per week – 3 meals a day, 7 days a week. All meals are served in the campus dining hall.

What provision is made for holidays/school vacations? – There are scheduled on and off-campus activities and/or immersion trips.

Is there a fee for non-personal transportation services? If so, please list: – For boarding students, all school supported/sponsored activities include transportation provided by Northland Scholars Academy.

What additional information should potential international applicants consider: Northland Scholars Academy students have the opportunity to take many college/university courses for both high school and college/university credit. Learn more here.
